Requirements

Must:
- Over 1 year of experience in technical roles involving computer systems and technology components - Capability to navigate job sites with uneven terrain and work from heights using ladders - Proficient in physical tasks such as walking, using hands and fingers, and lifting up to 49 pounds; able to assist in group lifts for over 50 pounds - Technical certificate from a Military/Trade School or an associate degree, with 1+ years related to industrial instrumentation or controls, or relevant electrical or mechanical operations experience - Minimum of 1 year experience with low and medium voltage electrical or mechanical systems - Basic knowledge of industrial control systems, including controllers, programming, and troubleshooting using analog, discrete, and communication protocols like MQTT, BACnet, or MODBUS - Preferred: 1 year of experience in a Data Center or mission-critical setting - Preferred: International Society of Automation (ISA) Certified Controls System Technician Level I or higher certification - Preferred: Understanding of network design, layout, and low voltage cabling (copper/fiber)

Responsibilities

- Support multiple Data Centers through the deployment, servicing, and upgrading of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) - Mentor Facilities team members regarding the operation and control of BMS and EPMS - Audit and manage computer asset management systems for BMS and EPMS installations - Manage small to medium-sized projects and programs - Execute point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers - Perform initial diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance for BMS and EPMS programming and hardware - Provisions servers, controllers, industrial PCs, and network configurations, testing communication between third-party devices and controllers - Install, replace, configure, and calibrate sensors - Read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel layouts; possess basic knowledge of closed-loop controls and sensor functions - Oversee low voltage electrical contractors for proper wiring and installation of field devices per AWS standards - Assist in commissioning and systems-level testing - Develop red-lined drawings and documentation for systems - Follow change management protocols for work requests and procedures - Participate in factory witness tests with vendors or in panel builders facilities - Handle additional tasks as assigned by management - Suggest design enhancements based on user consultation and system performance - Conduct root cause analysis during testing and commissioning phases - Ensure compliance with safety protocols for all personnel on site - Be available for on-call duties and manage rotating schedules, responding to after-hours emergencies - Engage in service activities including monitoring ticketing systems, performing root cause analysis, and prioritizing tasks - Manage service agreements, including vendor scheduling, quality assurance, and invoice review
