Requirements
Must:
- 18+ months of experience in computer/server hardware troubleshooting or similar IT functions
- 18+ months of experience in computer layer 1/2 networking (including troubleshooting and repair)
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Experience in a data center or critical operational environment (preferred)
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering) (preferred)
- Industry-standard certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCENT, Network+) (preferred)
- Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems (preferred)
- Experience in behavioral interviewing and onboarding processes (preferred)
- Ability to travel or commute between data center locations as required
Responsibilities
- Conducting server rack installations and performing hardware repairs on various components
- Troubleshooting network issues and responding to operational incidents impacting service availability
- Carrying out routine server hardware and operating system repairs
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers and vendors
- Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance activities
- Contribute to documentation and process improvement based on operational analyses
- Assist in interviewing, training, and onboarding new team members
