Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 2 years in a management or team lead role
- At least 2 years of experience in a data center technology position or solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking, network cabling, fiber optics, and testing equipment
- Flexible scheduling availability, including nights and weekends
- Ability to travel or commute to data center locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in conducting interviews and making hiring decisions
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering)
- Familiarity with installing physical data center equipment, including copper/fiber cabling and racks
- Understanding of networking infrastructure topology
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCENT, Network+, CCNA)
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and nurturing a team of technicians and engineers while providing technical guidance and ensuring optimal performance
- Delivering additional capacity to current Data Centers
- Assisting in the establishment and launch of new Data Centers
- Continuously enhancing all processes and procedures to drive improvement
- Managing relationships with external vendors and contractors
- Collaborating with internal teams and leadership
- Upholding and surpassing local health and safety regulations at our Data Centers
- Developing and tracking metrics related to all aspects of our Data Centers to encourage positive change
- Supporting the implementation of service methodologies, including incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management
