Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in infrastructure and availability engineering within data centers.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in incident management, along with expertise in problem-solving and risk assessment.
- Experience with end-to-end project delivery, preferably involving large colocation infrastructure projects.
- Experience in developing and presenting business case analyses to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- I will develop global lessons learned strategies through incident management processes, including participating in emergency (FOC) calls, contributing to 48-hour reports, and implementing lessons learned using the 5 whys methodology.
- I will review and technically inspect Root Cause Analysis (RCA), leading discussions on corrective actions related to site and equipment failures, and directly supporting operational issue escalations, including some on-call event support.
- I will contribute to regular Colocation availability reporting for Senior Leadership.
- I will define the global program implementation for corrective actions through strategic action plans, workflow development, and mentoring of regional teams.
- I will provide strategic technical direction for the Single Point of Failure (SPOF) program, including availability strategies, approvals of remediation designs, and management of the global Risk Reduction Library.
- I will participate in Infrastructure Project reviews and approvals, including reviewing accepted deviations and documentation.
- I will handle technical escalations on innovative design features, projects, and product deployments, providing strategic availability recommendations globally.
- I will drive process improvement initiatives, including regional engineering training and mentoring, and contribute to the Infrastructure Risk Prioritization Scoring.
- This position may require 25% international travel.
