Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management or team lead role
- At least 2 years of experience in a data center technology position and/or 2 years of expertise in TCP/IP networking, network cabling, fiber, optical types, and testing equipment
- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT-related discipline (e.g., computer science, network engineering, etc.) is preferred
- Experience with the installation of physical data center equipment such as copper/fiber cabling and racks
- Proficiency in understanding networking infrastructure topology
- Relevant certifications (CCENT, Network+, CCNA) are a plus
- Experience with behavioral interviewing and hiring
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including days and weekends
- Willingness to travel to or commute between data center locations as necessary
- Comfortable with temporary assignments at alternative sites during training periods or until the designated facility is operational
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and mentoring teams of technicians and engineers while delivering technical and leadership support to achieve peak performance
- Providing capacity to existing data centers
- Assisting in the construction and commissioning of new data centers
- Continuously enhancing processes and procedures for operational improvement
- Managing relationships with external vendors and contractors
- Collaborating with internal teams and management groups
- Ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations in all data centers
- Developing and maintaining metrics related to data center operations to instigate positive changes
- Supporting the implementation of service methodologies such as incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management
