Requirements

Must:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or another related engineering discipline and a minimum of 3 years of experience in controls; or an Associate's degree with 5 years of controls-related experience; or a high school diploma with 8 years of controls-related experience. 2. Familiarity with industrial controls in critical environments such as data centers, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, oil and gas, petrochemicals, laboratories, power, and water. 3. At least two (2) years of experience coordinating controls or electrical construction projects involving multiple teams or vendors to fulfill project specifications.

Responsibilities

As a Data Center Controls Engineer, I will: - Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Actions for issues linked to BMS and EPMS in our AWS data centers. - Provide training and assistance to internal customers and stakeholders concerning the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of BMS and EPMS systems. - Offer technical support to operations throughout the data center life cycle. - Review quarterly maintenance results and action items for BMS and EPMS, taking necessary actions to resolve issues. - Develop the scope of work, timeline, budget, and level of effort (LOE) for BMS & EPMS projects requested by clients and stakeholders. - Manage scope, schedule, finances, and execution of improvement projects related to BMS and EPMS within our AWS data centers. - Assist in procurement activities including responding to requests for quotations/proposals, reviewing vendor proposals, and issuing purchase orders. - Participate in the AWS global on-call schedule to provide immediate technical support for BMS and EPMS in active data centers. - Attend project-related meetings, coordinate with project leaders, and regularly report status updates to Controls management and stakeholders. - Support commissioning activities related to Controls projects in the data centers. - Review, implement, troubleshoot, and iterate on the controls sequence of operation (SOO), providing vital feedback to the design team. - Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces. - Navigate multiple stakeholder deliverables and requirements while managing challenging situations. - Financially oversee BMS and EPMS service contracts. - Frequently visit assigned operating data centers to troubleshoot, meet customers, and supervise vendors to ensure compliance with the scope, design, SOO, and applicable local codes.
