Requirements

Must:
- I have a technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in a relevant field (for example: electrical, mechanical). - I possess 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience. - I have 3+ years of experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.). - Preferred: I have 4+ years of Data Center Engineering Experience. - Preferred: I hold an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree. - Preferred: I have experience leading a team.

Responsibilities

- I will act as the primary escalation point for all facilities-related issues and oversee the operation and management of routine and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, and building monitoring systems. - I will perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshoot facilities within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA). - I will provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and collaborate with the Facility Manager (FM) to set team culture. - I will create and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians, Chief Engineers, and vendor support teams. - I may assist in the build-out of new facilities and work on projects to increase current facility efficiency. - I will work outside of normal business hours for routine maintenance as required, including responding to out-of-hours emergency calls. - I will communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience. - I will work with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency. - I will ensure that all safety procedures are adhered to by vendors and Amazon staff. - I will establish building performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance. - I will utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other basic administrative tools to perform day-to-day tasks.
