Requirements
Must:
- 18+ months of experience in computer/server hardware troubleshooting or a related IT field
- 18+ months of experience with computer layer 1/2 networking, including troubleshooting and repairs
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds
- Experience in a data center or similar critical environment is preferred
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field is preferred
- Industry-standard certifications, such as CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+, are advantageous
- Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems is a plus
- Experience in behavioral interviewing and team onboarding is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Conduct server rack installations and troubleshoot various hardware issues
- Address network problems and respond to operational incidents affecting service availability
- Execute routine repairs on network, server hardware, and operating systems
- Serve as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers and contractors
- Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance or change management activities
- Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives by analyzing operational challenges
- Assist in the interview, training, and onboarding of new team members
