Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 18 months experience in computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT fields
- At least 18 months experience in computer layer 1/2 networking including troubleshooting and repair
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Ability to lift and transport materials up to 40 pounds
- Capability to work in constrained or elevated spaces
- Proficiency in bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
- Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours daily)
- Comfort with ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways
- Experience in industrial environments
- Possession of industry-standard certifications (e.g. CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
- Knowledge of Linux or analogous operating systems is a plus
- Familiarity with behavioral interviewing and onboarding processes is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Execute server rack installations and hardware repairs on various components
- Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents affecting service availability
- Carry out routine repairs on network, server hardware, and operating systems to support AWS services
- Act as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers and vendors
- Fulfill on-call duties and engage in scheduled maintenance and change management tasks
- Contribute to the enhancement of documentation and processes based on operational issue analysis
- Assist in interviewing, training, and integrating new team members
