Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 4 years experience managing technical teams
- At least 4 years of experience in a data center technology role or with networking/computer hardware
- Experience in technical writing in a relevant field is preferred
- 2 years of previous data center management experience is a plus
- Familiarity with behavioral interviewing and hiring techniques
- Proven ability to identify and implement automation opportunities in an operations setting
- Flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends as needed
- Willingness to travel over 50 miles or commute to data center locations depending on business needs
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop engineering teams, providing both technical guidance and leadership
- Oversee the maintenance of existing data centers
- Facilitate the construction and commissioning of new data centers
- Continuously seek to enhance processes and procedures
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors
- Collaborate with internal teams and management groups
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety standards in all data centers
- Create and maintain metrics related to data centers, using them to drive improvements
- Assist in establishing service methodologies such as incident, problem, change, and capacity management
