Requirements
Must:
- 4+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT) or a degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent
- 2+ years of operational experience and on-call support in data center facilities, mission-critical plants, or production facilities
- 2+ years of team management experience or 2+ years of experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams, along with a Bachelors degree
- Proficient troubleshooting and debugging technical systems, with knowledge in Linux and networking protocols
- Understanding of networking administration and troubleshooting
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and allocate trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
- Oversee the performance of varied data center operation teams across multiple locations
- Cultivate and execute career development plans for data center personnel
- Spearhead recruitment and onboarding initiatives
- Facilitate performance management processes for team members
- Manage and deliver medium-sized projects
- Ensure optimal management of daily data center operations, including queue management and hardware logistics
- Acquire expertise in all aspects of data center operations
- Monitor operational KPIs and metrics to guarantee IT capacity availability
- Inspire and promote improvements in team processes, technology advancements, and automation
- Lead large-scale events such as outages and act as the primary contact
- Enhance workflows and throughput for data center operations
- Recommend, document, and supervise policies and procedures aligning with industry best practices and required service level agreements (SLAs)
- Maintain an on-call schedule coordination and attendance
- Demonstrate commitment to quality service and continuously strive to enhance customer experience
