Requirements
Must:
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training (Military/Trade School) or 2+ years in electrical or mechanical, HVAC, or fire systems in mission-critical infrastructure, or a related industry
- 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
- Preferred: 4+ years in data center engineering
- Preferred: Associates or Bachelors degree
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections to monitor and document data from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems ensuring 24/7 reliability and availability
- Oversee Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS)
- Assist with troubleshooting facility and rack-level incidents adhering to service level agreements (SLAs)
- Execute rack installations and decommissioning as per internal SLAs
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment
- Author technical documentation to support change management processes
- Manage daily work requests until resolution and oversee projects from inception to completion
- Provide on-site oversight for contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with established practices and local regulations
- Be prepared for variable work hours, including potential 12-hour shifts and on-call rotations
- May serve multiple site locations or facilities
