Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in data center engineering
- At least 1 year of experience in electrical, mechanical, or equivalent experience in critical facilities (e.g., hospitals, military sites)
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the day without excessive fatigue
- Experience in data center engineering is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections to monitor and document data from electrical, mechanical, and safety systems to ensure consistent reliability and availability
- Oversee the Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
- Aid in diagnosing facility and rack-level issues while adhering to internal Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Execute rack installations and decommissioning within specified SLAs
- Carry out preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems
- Create technical documentation to support the change management process
- Manage daily work requests until resolved, overseeing project execution from inception to completion
- Provide on-site oversight of contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with established standards, procedures, and local regulations
- Be adaptable to varying work schedules based on site requirements, with potential for 12-hour shifts and on-call duties
- Support multiple locations/sites as needed
