Requirements
Must:
- 4+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT), or a Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair
- At least 2 years of experience in people management
- Familiarity with data cabling and computer facility maintenance is a plus
- Knowledge of computer architecture, troubleshooting, and debugging hardware is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Lead the prioritization and assignment of trouble tickets to technicians and operators within the data center
- Oversee the performance of a diverse team of data center operations professionals across multiple locations
- Develop and enhance career paths for team members while updating our internal tools
- Recruit and train data technicians to maintain optimal staffing levels
- Ensure efficient management of daily data center operations, including queue handling, round-the-clock shift arrangements, and hardware logistics
- Quickly adapt and act as a subject matter expert in all areas of data center operations
- Monitor and evaluate all operational KPIs and metrics to ensure they are met
- Drive improvements in team processes, technological innovations, and automation
- Manage significant events, such as outages, while serving as the call leader
- Enhance workflows and throughput within data center operations
- Recommend, document, and implement policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and required service level agreements (SLAs)
- Maintain the on-call roster, coordinating employee absences and vacations
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality service and continuously enhance our customer experience
