Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of proven experience in systems administration
- Proficiency in Windows server administration, focusing on identity and access management
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory
- Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols such as routing, switching, and security
- Understanding of group policies
- Comprehensive grasp of security and compliance best practices
- Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Relevant experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is a plus
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Microsoft Windows Server Administrator Certification are preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee system performance, diagnose issues, and implement updates and patches for hardware and software
- Maintain system stability, security compliance, and peak performance
- Manage user access and permissions following ICE security protocols
- Collaborate with federal IT teams and product vendors to assist with hardware and software deployment across various sites
- Support logistics and tracking of device deployment and docking station setups
- Coordinate training for IT Field Operations (ITFO) regarding deployed devices
- Prepare deployment readiness checklists, develop standard operating procedures, and provide technical advice for IT management
- Assist the program management office and service desk in resolving tickets, addressing access concerns, facilitating password resets, and responding to technical support requests
- Offer ongoing technical guidance to field personnel and other ICE offices about the digital evidence management system
- Document system configurations, deployments, incidents, and resolutions for audit and reporting purposes
- Produce usage and performance reports to assess system reliability and user adoption rates
- Work together with project managers, ITFO, and vendor support to ensure project deadlines are achieved
- Aid the PMO in crafting and reviewing technical documentation, including system architecture, deployment strategies, user manuals, and security compliance reports
- Provide technical insights for creating project briefs, status updates, and responses to stakeholder inquiries
- Experience managing logistics for a large user base
