Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
- At least 10 years of cumulative experience in Planning, Deploying, and Securing Linux Servers and applications.
- IAT II certification or a higher certification.
- Linux operating system certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
- Preferred familiarity with Commvault Backup Systems, Mellanox Switches, and Aruba Switches.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of a High-Performance Computing environment with RHEL8/9 Servers, Windows Servers, and Commvault Backup Systems.
- Act as the technical lead for system infrastructure initiatives, including Planning, Deploying, and Hardening Enterprise Services across various projects.
- Ensure adherence to Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) regulations, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and Vulnerability Management Programs.
- Provide expert insights and assistance on all facets of system and network setup and management.
- Engage in project planning and execution within a hybrid-agile setting, potentially taking on the role of Scrum Master as necessary.
- Evaluate the IT landscape to identify critical gaps and recommend enhancement strategies.
- Collaborate with other IT personnel and stakeholders to guarantee timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Conduct routine system maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Record all system configurations, modifications, and protocols to uphold an updated knowledge base.
- Mentor and guide team members to bolster their expertise in system engineering and management.
