Requirements
Must:
- I possess a strong grasp of computer science concepts and object-oriented design principles.
- I have hands-on experience in software development using Java and J2EE technologies, particularly Spring Boot.
- I am knowledgeable about developing REST APIs, working with databases (both relational and NoSQL), crafting complex queries, as well as implementation and optimization techniques.
- I am familiar with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, with experience in tools like IntelliJ IDEA, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Gradle, Maven, etc.
- I have experience in an Extreme Programming (XP) environment and am adept at paired programming/engineering.
- I am experienced in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and knowledgeable about testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- I understand API Testing using tools like Postman, Bruno, and SoapUI.
- I am skilled in utilizing quality and security scanning tools such as Sonar, Fortify, and Contrast, or equivalents.
- I ensure that my code and processes align with clean code practices and industry/application best practices.
- I have experience with messaging systems, specifically Kafka or similar tools.
- I am knowledgeable about cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and other cloud services.
- I hold a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and have 6 or more years of experience (preferred).
Responsibilities
- I participate in iteration planning meetings to guarantee that the team has a shared understanding of each story and tasks in the team backlog.
- I engage in daily standups across various sites and product teams.
- I take part in retrospectives to gather feedback and develop actionable items to enhance team performance and the product.
- I collaborate within the team to design systems and applications.
- I practice daily paired programming and test-driven development while writing software and building products.
- I establish and maintain continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and processes.
- I provide support for software products within user environments.
- I serve as an expert in a specific business domain, demonstrating leadership and accountability in all settings, including ECC and SWAT calls.
- I contribute input to product design, collaborating with the team to solve problems effectively.
- I actively participate in knowledge sharing, contributing to the team's overall growth and expertise.
- I mentor junior team members in various technologies and XP practices.
- This is a hybrid role, requiring one day a week in our Dallas, TX office, while allowing for remote work four days a week.
