Must:
We are looking for a Software Engineer Senior Consultant with the following qualifications:
- 3-5 years of software development experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in developing software using Java and J2EE.
- At least 1 year of experience applying Test Driven Development (TDD) and Extreme Programming (XP) practices in an Agile environment.
- A strong understanding of computer science concepts and object-oriented design principles.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and DevOps tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Gradle, or Maven.
- Proficiency in testing tools like Postman, Bruno, or SoapUI.
- Experience with quality and security scanning tools such as Sonar, Fortify, or Contrast.
- Working knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka or similar technologies.
- An ability to write clean, maintainable, and secure code aligned with industry best practices.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer Senior Consultant, you will:
- Take part in iteration planning meetings to establish a common understanding of user stories and team backlog items.
- Join daily standups across site and product teams, utilizing paired programming and test-driven development in your daily tasks.
- Contribute to retrospectives by pointing out opportunities for enhancements in processes or products.
- Collaborate in designing systems and applications that satisfy both technical and business requirements.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.
- Provide support for software products in production environments.
- Act as a subject matter expert within a specific business domain, demonstrating leadership and accountability across teams and forums, including ECC and SWAT calls.
- Engage in knowledge sharing and contribute to the overall technical development of the team.
- Coach and guide junior engineers on software development best practices and XP methodologies.
