Requirements
Must:
- I possess a robust understanding of computer science concepts and object-oriented design principles.
- I have practical experience in developing software using Java and J2EE technologies, particularly Spring Boot.
- I am knowledgeable in creating REST APIs, managing databases (both relational and NoSQL), and optimizing complex queries.
- I am experienced in utilizing continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, with preferred tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Gradle, and Maven.
- I have a background in Extreme Programming (XP) practices, including working in a paired programming/engineering model.
- I have experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and am familiar with testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito, among others.
- I am skilled in API testing through tools like Postman, Bruno, and SoapUI.
- I utilize quality and security scanning tools such as Sonar, Fortify, and Contrast, or similar.
- I ensure that code and processes adhere to clean code principles and industry/application best practices.
- I have experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or equivalent tools.
- I have knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
Responsibilities
- I will actively participate in iteration planning meetings to ensure our team has a shared understanding of each story and task in the backlog.
- I will attend daily standup meetings with both on-site and remote teams to foster communication.
- I will engage in retrospectives to collect feedback and identify actionable items for continuous improvement of the team and our products.
- I will collaborate with my team in designing systems and applications.
- I will practice paired programming and test-driven development daily while writing software and building products.
- I will establish and maintain continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines and practices.
- I will provide user support for our software products in various environments.
- I will serve as a subject matter expert in a specific business domain, demonstrating leadership and accountability in forums including ECC and SWAT calls.
- I will contribute to product design discussions, working with the team to solve problems effectively.
- I will participate in knowledge-sharing activities to enhance the collective knowledge of the team.
- I will coach junior team members on different technologies and XP practices.
