Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering or platform engineering roles
- Extensive hands-on knowledge with AWS
- Proficiency in AWS IAM, AWS Lambda, and essential compute services
- Experience managing production applications hosted on AWS
- Strong comprehension of cloud architecture patterns and their operational impacts
- Background in platform reliability, monitoring, and incident response
- Experience working in regulated or risk-sensitive enterprise environments
- Familiarity with architectural patterns, automation, and cloud governance
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance enterprise-scale cloud platform architectures
- Act as a senior technical authority for AWS platforms and services
- Guide architectural choices related to scalability, availability, security, and costs
- Own and optimize cloud platform reliability, automation, and operational methodologies
- Collaborate with application teams, security, and operations to ensure production readiness
- Diagnose complex cloud and platform issues
- Offer advisory and enablement support to engineering teams
- Shape cloud governance, identity, and platform standards
- Assess new cloud technologies and disseminate insights across the platform community
- Build rapport and influence with engineering directors, principal engineers, and design leaders to shape backlogs and engineering practices
- Maintain industry standards and evaluate new technologies while sharing insights with the wider engineering community
- Serve as a collaborative thought leader by challenging assumptions and evaluating the downstream effects of technical decisions
