Product Engineer Lead Consultant (Java)

- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services utilizing Spring Boot or similar frameworks - Create and integrate API-driven service communication patterns, including both synchronous and asynchronous interactions - Design and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven interfaces, focusing on reliability, versioning, and backward compatibility - Prioritize system-to-system integration and service orchestration over direct data access - Make informed design choices emphasizing clarity, scalability, and long-term maintainability - Write clean, testable, and production-ready code employing automated testing techniques - Diagnose and resolve issues across service interactions, encompassing application behavior, containerization, and basic networking - Work with relational databases as necessary, emphasizing well-defined service interfaces rather than tight data coupling - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines promoting continuous integration and deployment - Deploy and manage services within containerized ecosystems, including Kubernetes - Provide support for applications in testing and production environments - Aid in enhancing observability, resilience, and operational workflows - Assist with frontend code as needed, primarily using React - Read, debug, and implement minor enhancements to frontend components as necessary - Engage in standups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and design discussions - Clearly articulate technical concepts, design choices, and trade-offs - Pose clarifying questions when requirements are ambiguous - Collaborate through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions - Show an interest in contemporary AI system design and emerging technologies - Have exposure to model orchestration, agent-based workflows, or multi-agent patterns - Engage in the exploration or prototyping of AI-assisted tools when relevant - Stay updated on how AI can enhance developer productivity and product functionalities
