Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in database administration with a solid background in SQL Server
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake is highly beneficial
- Proven track record in mentoring DBA teams and spearheading large-scale database migrations
- Experience with database performance tuning, ensuring high availability, and disaster recovery
- Knowledge of Delta Lake, Parquet, and contemporary data architectures
- Strong grasp of security and compliance principles in cloud environments
- Exceptional communication skills with proficiency in stakeholder management and strategic planning
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the transition from on-premises SQL Server to cloud infrastructures while ensuring scalability, security, and performance of databases
- Guide and mentor a small group of DBAs, promoting a culture of teamwork, innovation, and ongoing learning
- Maintain optimal functionality, availability, and security of databases across hybrid environments while adhering to our security standards
- Establish best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in both cloud and hybrid settings
- Collaborate closely with Enterprise engineering to align Investments with the overall enterprise data strategy and work with product and business teams to meet organizational objectives
