Requirements

Must:
- 5-7 years of experience in database administration, particularly with MS SQL Server and MongoDB, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. - Strong understanding of database backup, recovery, and replication strategies. - Proficient in Oracle database management including Oracle RAC and Data Guard. - Experience with deployment and management tools for MongoDB, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. - Comfortable with database monitoring tools and adherence to best practices. - Familiarity with agility tools like Version1 and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow. - Experience in Datadog monitoring. - Knowledge of cloud-based database administration using Azure or Amazon AWS. - Understanding of ITIL practices. - Proficient in Python and PowerShell scripting. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. - Strong communication abilities for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

- Oversee, monitor, and maintain MS SQL Server and MongoDB, Oracle, or PostgreSQL databases. - Establish and execute data backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability. - Enhance database performance and resolve issues promptly as they occur. - Implement database security measures to protect sensitive information. - Manage user access and roles to comply with security protocols. - Collaborate with development teams to create and implement database solutions that meet application needs. - Work with IT teams to manage changes and upgrades to databases. - Set up monitoring tools to track database performance and alleviate bottlenecks. - Generate performance reports on system availability and other pertinent metrics. - Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including patching and updates for both MS SQL Server and MongoDB, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. - Assess and suggest enhancements for database architecture and tools.
