Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (we are open to accepting international education equivalents) along with five years of experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer Lead Consultant or in a comparable role that involves developing, managing, and manipulating large, complex datasets. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (also accepting international education equivalents) with seven years of experience in a similar position will be considered. Additionally, your experience should encompass: - Proficient use of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, and Kafka for managing high volumes of both structured and semi-structured data. - Familiarity with containerized technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. - Skills in coding and creating prototypes utilizing programming languages like Python, Java, and SQL, along with experience using build tools like Maven and Jenkins.

Responsibilities

In the position of Cloud Platform Engineer Lead Consultant, I will lead initiatives of medium to high complexity, overseeing the delivery of Big Data platforms designed to inform decision-making. This includes the development and advocacy for new Big Data systems aimed at data analysis. I will engage in coding and creating advanced analytics solutions that contribute to business decision optimization and process enhancement. My role will involve the integration of new tools with current and upcoming Big Data hardware and software to advance descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. I will contribute to both structured and unstructured Big Data/Data Science tools and collaborate with peers to ensure comprehensive Big Data solutions that serve the data science community and analytics users. I will identify new data areas, research advancements in Big Data technology that can address business challenges, and apply effective project planning methods to fragment complex projects into manageable tasks, ensuring project scopes are controlled and deadlines are met. I will also leverage and apply Big Data best practices and lessons learned to craft technical solutions for descriptive analytics, ETL processes, predictive modeling, and real-time decision-making analytics. Serving as a technical authority, I will evaluate the effectiveness of Big Data systems in addressing business challenges, in addition to assisting in recruiting, selecting, mentoring, and developing fellow team members.
