Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, platform engineering, and/or solution architecture, demonstrating significant impact in enterprise environments.
- Proven capability in designing and delivering cloud-native analytical architectures on at least one major cloud platform (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform), including production-scale deployments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in at least two of the following technologies: Python, Spark/Scala, Terraform/Env0, and SQL, with the ability to tackle real-world platform and data engineering problems.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud networking concepts, such as virtual networks, routing, security boundaries, and hybrid connectivity patterns.
- Proven ability to create and implement scalable, secure, and resilient data, security, and integration architectures fit for enterprise solutions.
- Familiarity with DevOps and platform engineering methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, Github, and automated environment provisioning.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey intricate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments and adept at managing ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to engineering and product teams regarding platform architecture, modernization, and best practices, establishing credibility and influence with engineering and digital product leadership.
- Provide strategic direction for platform evolution, ensuring alignment of business and technology roadmaps both tactically and strategically, from immediate delivery to long-term capability development.
- Design, prototype, and enhance core platform components, contributing to the overall enterprise architecture and empowering engineering teams with scalable, secure, and well-documented reference solutions.
- Assess, design, and integrate AI/ML capabilities into platform services, focusing on model utilization patterns, automation, and intelligent workflows that yield measurable business value.
- Conduct platform evaluations and architectural reviews, facilitating stakeholder alignment, risk analysis, and structured problem-solving to support high-priority initiatives and crucial decision-making.
- Influence discovery, framing, and inception activities throughout the ecosystem by applying straightforward architectural principles to drive clear outcomes and mitigate complexity.
- Employ industry standards and evaluate emerging technologies, sharing pertinent insights with the broader engineering community to ensure that platform solutions meet enterprise expectations.
- Work collaboratively with security, risk, and compliance teams to verify that platform architectures comply with governance, regulatory, and security requirements from the ground up.
- Offer technical mentorship and thought leadership, establishing documentation standards and sharing knowledge across platform consultants and engineering teams.
