Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with hands-on development being a key focus in recent roles.
- At least 4 years of practical experience with Java, specifically familiar with Java versions 8 and 11, and confident in building applications using Java.
- Proficient in REST API development utilizing the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring-Core, Spring MVC).
- Experienced in unit and integration testing with JUnit 5+.
- Strong understanding and experience with n-tier architectures (UI, business logic layer, data access layer), along with familiarity with distributed architectures using integration tools like Data Power, Mule, or any ESBs.
- Solid knowledge of SDLC processes and application lifecycle management tools such as JIRA.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (such as Postgres or similar), including strong SQL skills and the ability to optimize queries for performance.
- Familiarity with system security measures and the capability to implement security practices (e.g., SQL injections, cookies).
- Capable of collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to ensure successful completion of data migration and performance tuning projects.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts.
- Proficiency in performing code reviews and recommending automated review tools for the project.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new highly scalable microservices.
- Identify and resolve production issues related to existing services.
- Participate in ensuring that builds and web applications operate smoothly in production environments.
- Engage in daily standup meetings, bi-weekly sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Draft comprehensive documentation for API clients.
- Provide assistance and feedback to fellow developers through constructive code reviews.
