Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 2-year College Diploma or 4-year University Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of the construction industry, particularly Division 22 (Plumbing) products
- Proficient in Excel (advanced formulas, data validation, pivot tables) or equivalent data tooling experience
- At least 1 year of experience in architectural/building technician role or similar exposure
- Excellent communication skills with strong fluency in English
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify errors during repetitive tasks
- Capability to meet deadlines and manage tasks independently
- Basic familiarity with mechanical engineering is a plus
- Knowledge of North American Building Codes is advantageous
- Understanding of mechanical, architectural, electrical products, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems is beneficial
- Experience with Python and SQL for data transformation or automation is desirable
- Experience working with software technology teams and knowledge of agile methodologies is a plus
- Ability to gather information from manufacturers and other sources effectively
Responsibilities
- Analyze technical specification sheets for building products to extract essential data and compatibility needs
- Create, maintain, and refine structured data models using internal tools and SQL, while identifying opportunities for workflow automation
- Develop and validate configuration rules and filters to ensure proper product compatibility
- Organize and map digital assets, including high-resolution images and CAD drawings to associated product entries
- Collaborate within an agile team environment using tools such as Git for data change submissions
- Conduct audits of the database to maintain accuracy and completeness for user satisfaction
- Manage ongoing projects and respond to inquiries to align with business timelines
- Translate business requirements into well-categorized client data for our database
- Design and sustain structured product data models that can accommodate a wide array of configurations
- Utilize scripts and automation tools to minimize manual data entry and enhance consistency
- Establish and uphold validation rules to prevent configuration errors
- Employ modern AI tools responsibly for efficient data extraction and quality assurance
