Requirements
Must:
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience in a financial or banking setting.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Exceptional communication abilities for professional interactions with members and colleagues.
- Familiarity with BSA/OFAC compliance for assisting members with related concerns.
- Willingness to register and participate in NMLS; Notary Public certification may be required.
- Completion of annual BSA training and updated knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support members with loan and credit card applications, confirming that all required documents are accurate and complete.
- Process and issue loan funds, ensuring all documentation is correct and scheduling loan closings with members.
- Complete month-end reports and verify adherence to internal standards.
- Assist members in opening and closing accounts, including investment and IRA accounts, while keeping records current.
- Conduct essential checks, such as SSN verification, to avert fraudulent accounts or those with outstanding debts.
- Act as a liaison between members and different departments to ensure effective communication.
- Process and validate financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wires, and more.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell Credit Union products and services to enhance member engagement.
- Execute administrative duties such as filing, data entry, equipment upkeep, and phone handling.
- Register and engage in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required.
- Offer notary services (if applicable) following state regulations.
- Perform as the Membership Officer to uphold high levels of member satisfaction.
