Requirements
Must:
- 3-5+ years of practical inspection experience in aerospace, medical devices, or similar high-precision manufacturing sectors using FAI techniques.
- Proficient in utilizing inspection software, SAP/ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Skilled in using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, ring/thread gauges, CMM, and optical comparators.
- Strong understanding of AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001 standards, FAI processes, and customer quality criteria.
- Capable of making decisive judgments and leading FAIs with confidence.
- Excellent organizational abilities for handling paperwork and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Persistent focus and grit, ready to inspect in an active warehouse setting.
- Bonus Points If You Have:
- Certifications as an internal auditor (AS9100 or ASQ CQA/CQI).
- Experience with Net-Inspect or comparable inspection systems.
- Delegated source inspector credentialing.
- SAE or similar inspection certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced First Article Inspections (FAIs) using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
- Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications with GD&T understanding.
- Investigate and resolve non-conformances from both suppliers and customers.
- Manage customer claims and rejections through quality portals.
- Document NCRs and inspection outcomes using SAP and Excel efficiently.
- Lead or assist in internal and external audits, including supplier corrective actions.
- Collaborate with various departments: Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Quality.
- Mentor junior inspectors to elevate team standards and performance.
