Requirements
Must:
- 3-5+ years of practical inspection experience in aerospace, medical devices, or high-precision manufacturing
- Proficient with inspection software, SAP/ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong expertise in tools such as micrometers, calipers, ring/thread gauges, CMM, and optical comparators
- Extensive knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, FAIs, and customer quality standards
- Proven ability to lead FAIs and make confident decisions
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing paperwork and multitasking effectively
- Ability to maintain focus in an active warehouse setting
Responsibilities
- Execute thorough First Article Inspections (FAIs) using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
- Assess engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications utilizing GD&T
- Investigate and address non-conformances from suppliers and customers
- Manage claims and rejections through quality portals
- Accurately log NCRs and inspection results into SAP and Excel
- Facilitate or assist with internal and external audits, including supplier corrective actions
- Collaborate with production, sales, customer service, and quality teams
- Mentor less experienced inspectors, raising team standards
