Requirements
Must:
- Masters degree in Systems Engineering or another technical or scientific discipline, coupled with over 10 years of relevant experience or comparable depth of expertise in the area
- Preferred experience with USMC or other DoD systems maintenance or operational roles related to Air and/or Ground Combat operations
- Proficient in conducting Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs) and managing associated documentation
- Proven track record in creating acquisition documentation that facilitates programs in reaching critical milestones and events
- Capability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team of Government and non-Government individuals
- Experienced in leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Desirable Network Design or Networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CCNP)
- Strongly preferred DAWIA Engineering & Technical Management Practitioner certification or equivalent Systems Engineering training (e.g., INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional)
- Detail-oriented with outstanding verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Visio
- Self-motivated, proactive individual with a demonstrated history of taking initiative
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
Responsibilities
- Create and/or update relevant acquisition engineering documentation such as Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), and Information Support Plans (ISP)
- Generate reports, presentations, and documentation pertinent to our program portfolio
- Conduct technical assessments and evaluations of Prime Contractor deliverables, system architectures, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
- Review and coordinate drawings for all ECPs and related vendor development programs
- Validate and assess readiness of all program documentation necessary for ECP approvals
- Support the Engineering Team in ECP development and oversee all ECPs from inception to completion
- Formulate Performance Specifications and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), assisting in drafting product and component specifications
- Assist in formulating Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Establish Technical Review Action Plans and engage in all phases of the Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) process
- Develop ECPs and actively participate in Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
- Oversee the creation and development of test strategies, procedures, and plans
- Aid in the planning, execution, and documentation of test events and operational evaluations
- Contribute to systems safety initiatives by developing the Programmatic Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE) and other necessary safety documentation
- Provide support for cybersecurity initiatives, monitor Information Assurance (IA) vulnerability alerts, and ensure the implementation of appropriate security measures
- Engage in both technical and management Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
