Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Management Engineering, or a related field required
- Masters degree preferred
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in analytical and modeling tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, discrete event simulation platforms)
- Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent systems thinking and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding collaboration, facilitation, communication, and relationship-building abilities
Responsibilities
- Lead intricate, cross-functional performance enhancement projects utilizing systems engineering, industrial engineering, and operations research techniques
- Utilize advanced analytical tools (such as process mapping, simulation, optimization, statistical analysis, and human-centered design) to enhance access, flow, quality, safety, and efficiency
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to pinpoint priorities, outline issues, and jointly develop solutions that align with our organizational strategy
- Convert complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations for executives, clinical teams, and operational stakeholders
- Develop and assess care delivery models, capacity management strategies, and operational workflows, focusing on pediatric and family-centered care
- Assist in the implementation, change management, and sustainability of improvement initiatives, including outcome measurement and continuous performance monitoring
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on system design, trade-offs, and data-driven decision-making
- Help set standards, methodologies, and best practices for the Management Engineering program
- Aid in the growth and mentoring of future management engineering staff as our program expands
