Requirements
Must:
- ABET accredited BS degree in an Engineering discipline plus 5 or more years of relevant professional experience, or a MS degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Additional experience is preferred.
- Active Q clearance is mandatory.
- Preference for candidates with systems and equipment experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screening.
- Job-related pre-placement medical examinations may be necessary.
Responsibilities
- Expected work schedule: Monday to Thursday, 40 hours per week, with the possibility of occasional overtime.
- Assist with the installation of new machining centers and/or the operation of existing machining production through configuration management activities, documentation tasks, troubleshooting, and maintenance support.
- Strong machining experience is essential.
- Engage in troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
- Utilize equipment and systems expertise to address technical issues in collaboration with other disciplines.
- Experience in a NRC or DOE regulated setting is preferred, with knowledge of Conduct of Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance in nuclear environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with the capability to collaborate effectively with clients, production and support teams, management, and hourly employees.
- Must be prepared to work in a production environment.
- Experience in Integrated Safety Management is advantageous.
