C4I Testing Engineer

- Design and enforce security protocols to safeguard computer systems, networks, and data integrity - Assess and document security vulnerabilities, breaches, and incidents along with their impacts - Create and execute a network disaster recovery strategy while monitoring network security - Collaborate with the security team to conduct tests and identify network vulnerabilities - Stay updated with the latest developments in IT security technologies, trends, and standards - Perform various roles within eMASS to assist with RMF package creation - Contribute to security control documentation and manage RMF records - Aid in Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) processes throughout the system lifecycle - Support the maintenance of system accreditation status - Work with engineers to address identified vulnerabilities - Formulate strategies to mitigate operational risks - Monitor remediation processes and assist with Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) updates - Enforce compliance with applicable DoD, DoN, CNSS, and NIST cybersecurity policies - Conduct security compliance assessments on shipboard C4I systems - Facilitate the implementation and validation of STIGs and SRGs - Support network mapping and vulnerability scanning initiatives - Use ACAS/Nessus and related tools to perform system evaluations - Ensure accurate analysis and documentation of scan results - Validate scan outcomes against the prescribed security standards - Engage in ad hoc cybersecurity data requests to support key assessments - Draft functional requirements documentation to aid testing and compliance efforts - Produce clear technical documentation and reports for stakeholders - Apply fundamental networking knowledge, including protocols such as TCP/IP and OSPF - Assist with testing and validation of C4I systems in both laboratory and shipboard settings
