Requirements
Must:
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Masters degree in an Engineering discipline
- Over 10 years of professional experience in systems engineering, automation, or cybersecurity engineering
- Advanced proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python scripting
- Experience in automating STIG auditing and remediation processes
- Familiarity with integrating enterprise APIs and security platforms
- Background in supporting Windows and Linux environments in a DoD context
- Compliance with all qualifications outlined under CSWF PAA standards
- Desired Certification: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire systems infrastructure, including engineering, implementation, integration, and technical support services
- Design, install, maintain, and administer systems comprising hardware, software, and various configurations
- Proactively monitor overall system performance, identifying potential issues and optimizing configurations
- Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with team members to establish and enhance processes and protocols
- Develop sophisticated scripts in PowerShell and/or Python for enterprise system integration and operational data gathering
- Transmit structured data to enterprise logging frameworks such as Splunk or Syslog
- Leverage tools like Chef InSpec and Ansible for automating security, auditing, health checks, reporting, and compliance functions
- Audit and rectify STIG findings using PowerShell, Python, Chef InSpec, and Ansible
- Create answer files to automate responses to manual STIG checks and generate STIG Viewer checklists
- Utilize Evaluate-STIG with answer files for automating audits and checklist creation for Windows and Linux hosts
- Maintain required qualifications under the Cybersecurity Workforce framework for Privileged Access Administrator
- Interface with APIs from enterprise systems including ACAS, Tenable Security Center, Splunk, and VMware NSX
- Develop integrations that utilize REST APIs, JSON, XML, YAML, and other markup languages
- Manipulate and transform data across Splunk, Python, and PowerShell using regular expressions
- Apply XPath and JSONPath for querying structured data sources
- Automate VMware tasks using VMware PowerCLI
- Facilitate Linux administrative tasks automation through Ansible
- Implement Windows administrative tasks automation via PowerShell
- Demonstrate knowledge of containerization and container platforms like Docker
- Exhibit an understanding of SSL/TLS certificates, mutual authentication, public/private key architecture, and PKI concepts
- Utilize object-oriented programming principles in PowerShell and Python for automation
- Contribute to continuous monitoring and enterprise visibility through custom dashboards and queries in Splunk
