Requirements
Must:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
- 3 to 5 years of experience in emergency communications systems, telecommunications, or a related field
- Combination of training, certifications, and education in related areas
- Strong knowledge of VoIP technologies, SIP protocols, and telephony systems
- Experience with IP networking, routing, and switching in secure settings
- Familiarity with emergency services IP networks (ESInets) and NG911 standards
- Understanding of location-based services and GIS technologies
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage 911 call routing systems, encompassing Enhanced 911 (E911) and NG911 platforms
- Integrate emergency communication systems with federal networks while ensuring security measures are met and compliance is maintained
- Diagnose intricate technical issues across voice, data, and location services within the 911 framework
- Set up and optimize Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) interfaces as well as Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) equipment
- Create and update technical documentation, system diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with military installation emergency personnel, security teams, and civilian first responders
- Execute system upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance during designated maintenance periods
- Engage in disaster recovery planning and emergency response drills
- Track system performance and implement enhancements to maintain 99.999% uptime standards
