Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- A Masters Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of development experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Java.
- At least 5 years of experience in an Agile, DevOps, CI/CD setting.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing static and dynamic analysis testing tools.
- 3 years of experience in a security or risk management role.
- Familiarity with Cloud-Based Solutions and Technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Experience in AWS development environments, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of modern application and infrastructure design patterns, including microservices, containers, and reactive principals.
- Proficiency in open-source technologies such as NodeJS, OpenJDK, React, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
- Experience with DevOps tools including Terraform/CloudFormation, GitLab pipeline, Jira, and automated testing and deployment tools.
- Proven ability to lead projects and implement complex systems independently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve the roadmap for the Software Security Engineering program.
- Drive initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and mitigate risk, providing valuable insights about security controls to ARC leadership and auditors.
- Influence workstreams to adopt secure coding practices, implement process automation, manage key rotation, and establish cryptography and access controls.
- Advocate for security best practices within the development organization.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop patterns, templates, and standards.
- Ensure the threat pattern library is current and effectively addressing risks.
- Keep team members updated on security testing tools, trends, and coding best practices through continuous learning and engagement with threat intelligence communities.
- Propose enhancements to the organizations overall security posture using technical and administrative controls.
