Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field preferred; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS Cloud administration including cost reporting, optimization, and management
- At least 3 years of experience managing, coaching, and developing technical teams
- Proficient in full cycle development (SDLC) within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Familiarity with DevOps roles, including CI/CD Automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience with source code management (Git) administration, branching, merging, and flow strategies
- Preferable background in system administration
- Proven experience leading teams through event triaging and ability to communicate after-action reports
- Capability to guide a group through architectural development processes and collaborate with stakeholders
- Skill in discovering and defining non-functional requirements and translating them into technical solutions
- Ability to influence technology strategies and best practices across peer and leadership groups
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with various stakeholders
- Strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to challenge existing processes for improvement
- Passionate about supporting peers to achieve project timelines
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the DevOps Engineering team, cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement for ARCs technology stack
- Design and implement key DevOps Engineering functions, processes, and standards
- Establish a clear vision for the DevOps Engineering team focused on delivering a robust Cloud platform roadmap
- Develop team members by providing the necessary tools and resources for their continuous growth and learning
- Collaborate with Product Teams, Product Owners, Engineers, and Solution Architects to enhance business support, scalability, and recovery of engineered solutions
- Review resource usage and assess cost-effectiveness of engineered Cloud solutions
- Ensure that technical solutions align with business requirements
- Plan, direct, and oversee the financial budget for the DevOps Engineering department
- Manage the recruiting, interviewing, and training processes while monitoring team performance
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and evaluate industry best practices for better customer service
