Requirements
Must:
- Over eight (8) years of progressive experience in the implementation, support, and management of HR information systems (HRIS) and ERP services
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in managing, configuring, or supporting a complex Workday HR payroll system, including familiarity with payroll cycles and tax calculations
- Experience in the design, configuration, and support of multiple Workday modules, preferably with hands-on experience in Time Tracking and Absence Management
- Solid expertise in IT service management (ITSM) and delivering IT services in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs) in an outsourced environment
- Background in data/system migration, solution design, architecture, and managing integrations between HRIS and other enterprise systems
- Proven experience leading HRIS implementation projects and managing cross-functional dependencies
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field (mandatory)
- Certification for Workday Payroll, HCM, or Time Tracking modules (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of bridging gaps between technical teams and HR functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and business needs regarding Time Management and Payroll
- Knowledge of processes within the Aerospace, Defense, or similar regulated industries (a plus)
- Strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in an agile and team-oriented environment
- Willingness to travel for professional obligations as needed, with potential on-call duties during weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to product roadmap definition and manage the complete lifecycle of services (design, industrialization, operation, support) while driving system improvements, particularly focusing on Workday Payroll and Time Tracking features
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Design Authority for Workday configuration in key areas, translating complex business needs (especially in Payroll and Time Management) into effective and scalable IT solutions
- Ensure high-quality service delivery, adhere to agreed service levels (SLAs), manage vendor and integrator performance, and guarantee compliance with information system standards and cybersecurity requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage escalations, and foster strong collaboration with local HR counterparts and global IT partners to align North American requirements with the global HR information systems strategy
- Conduct detailed analysis sessions for complex business requirements, focusing on payroll processing, tax regulations, and complex time and absence management scenarios
- Identify gaps, develop workarounds, and propose modifications to system design
- Design, customize, and rigorously test HR processes within Workday and its integrations, specifically leading configuration efforts, testing, and deployment for implementations or enhancements of modules
- Manage upgrades, improvements, and troubleshooting of the system and associated existing HR applications to maintain optimal integrity and functionality
- Monitor and manage compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs) for HR IT services
- Serve as a key IT contributor to internal clients during crises or system escalations, liaising with internal/external resolution groups to facilitate rapid corrective action, particularly regarding payroll delays or time entry accuracy
- Define and implement continuous improvement actions, manage cost allocations, and work with other areas of IT to establish a strategic product roadmap
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of functional design, test cases, and knowledge base articles specific to our Workday Payroll and Time Tracking solutions
- Support governance efforts and coordinate regular meetings with HR clients, vendors, and global IT partners
- Track the performance of system integrators and vendors using contractual key performance indicators (KPIs), initiating and overseeing improvement recommendations.
