Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical), Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics
- Minimum of 13 years of experience in aerospace, government, legal, engineering, or manufacturing environments
- Strong analytical reporting background with proven communication and computing skills
- In-depth knowledge of software architecture, data modeling, and application development lifecycles
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Proficient with MS Excel and Google Suite applications
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach and positive attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance software systems based on customer and stakeholder requirements
- Participate in solution design, requirements gathering, and backlog refinement activities
- Assist in the creation and planning of new systems and architectures, promoting improved programming practices
- Design and document new platform technologies including engineering best practices
- Implement, document, and test changes across multiple applications to ensure quality and user satisfaction
- Serve as a technical expert, analyzing and recommending application software solutions
- Lead technical aspects of major projects throughout the Software Development Lifecycle
- Create project plans, setting goals, specifications, and key performance indicators
- Mentor less experienced developers and guide them through complex challenges
- Foster productive collaboration between functions and departments to enhance project context and alignment
- Identify local improvement initiatives to boost team efficiency
