Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in managing and configuring Windows server environments
- Experience with virtualization technologies like Windows Hyper-V
- Strong grasp of network protocols, firewalls, and security practices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with system monitoring and performance optimization tools
- Skilled in scripting languages including Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and documentation capabilities
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy administration
- Availability for on-call support and emergency response as required
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in a Systems Administrator role or similar
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware
- Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability
- Administer system security and manage backup protocols
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems
- Conduct regular system upgrades and apply patches for optimal performance
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Implement and oversee system and network configurations
- Collaborate with IT team members to enhance security and efficiency
- Maintain detailed documentation of systems and procedures
- Ensure alignment with company policies and industry regulations
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users
- Plan and execute capacity and resource management
- Automate routine tasks using scripts and configuration management tools
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies for improving infrastructure efficiency.
