Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in information systems
- At least six years of administrative or supervisory experience
- Proven ability to conceive and implement strategic tech initiatives
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management
- Familiarity with public administration and its relationship to technology
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory technology issues
- Experience in municipal budget preparation and administration
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the Information Services Department
- Oversee citywide technology operations, cybersecurity, and digital services
- Design and execute a long-term technology vision aligned with city goals
- Modernize IT infrastructure and ensure reliable, secure systems
- Spearhead digital transformation and enhance cybersecurity practices
- Manage technology governance, budgeting, and vendor relationships
- Engage stakeholders and represent the interests of the City in technology matters
- Supervise management and technical staff
