Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating technical expertise and innovative thinking.
- At least 4 years of demonstrated experience in managing enterprise Windows systems, with a strong grasp of system configuration, troubleshooting, and security hardening in high-pressure settings.
- Proven ability to write and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Puppet, PowerShell DSC, Terraform, Ansible, Python, or PowerShell to facilitate streamlined automated deployments.
- Hands-on experience applying IaC for automating system management and configuration, enabling consistent, repeatable, and secure provisioning.
- Strong understanding of Git repositories and modern software development processes for efficient code management and continuous integration.
- Experience with automated provisioning tools, including Terraform, Stacki, Cobbler, or Kickstart, to enhance efficiency in extensive environments.
- TS/SCI security clearance required, which is issued by the U.S. government; U.S. citizenship is necessary for obtaining a security clearance.
- For Site Reliability Engineer Staff IV level: Minimum 7 years managing enterprise Windows systems, with proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy administration, and compliance with security measures.
- Demonstrated programming skills in implementing IaC strategies for comprehensive system management and configuration in large enterprises, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Proven leadership in influencing and guiding multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals, fostering a collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage, automate, and support secure server environments utilizing IaC methodologies, ensuring optimal configurations across varied network settings.
- Collaborate with corporate IT teams and aerospace engineers to facilitate critical scientific and engineering workloads essential for national space missions.
- Produce detailed documentation and conduct training sessions for team members to enhance overall DevOps operations and troubleshooting proficiency.
- Advocate for and apply best practices in DevOps processes, focusing on security, efficiency, and scalability.
- Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code to optimize the provisioning and configuration management of systems in diverse environments.
- Design, develop, and enhance resilient IaC scripts to improve system dependability and scalability.
- Execute security hardening measures, uphold compliance procedures, and automate remediation tasks to sustain a secure operational framework.
- Oversee and maintain extensive virtual infrastructures, promoting operational efficiency and seamless scalability.
