Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience leading technical teams and managing complex modeling and analysis initiatives.
- Proven expertise in modeling, simulation, and analysis of space systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the U.S. government, requiring U.S. citizenship.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and/or work outside of standard hours to meet customer needs, approximately 5-10%.
In addition, for the Senior Engineering Specialist role:
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience leading technical teams in complex modeling and analysis tasks.
Responsibilities
- Independently oversee the development of tools for modeling and analysis studies of various sensors and their broader system-of-systems architectures, including radar, EO/IR, and Lidar.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to conduct tool development and support systems engineering studies that evaluate trade-offs between system performance and optimization strategies.
- Design modeling, simulation, and analysis approaches utilizing a robust framework of tools.
- Create innovative performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of sensors such as electro-optical (EO), radar, and passive radio frequency sensor concepts, architectures, and algorithms.
- Develop and implement algorithms for applications like tracking and data fusion, enhancing performance in radar, lidar, and related sensor architectures.
- Lead ongoing projects aimed at improving existing modeling and simulation tools.
- Create new simulation methodologies, tools, and simulations to assist interdisciplinary support teams.
- Exhibit expert programming capabilities in languages such as C, C++, Python, and FORTRAN.
- Demonstrate familiarity with collaborative tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.
