Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical field - At least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in structural engineering - Proficiency in conducting finite element analyses - Familiarity with structural mechanics, including metallic and composite materials, nonlinear materials, and energy methods - Experience in the design, qualification, and testing of aerospace thermostructural technologies - Strong attention to detail and effective time management - Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly - Willingness to travel domestically or internationally (approximately 20%) - Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship - For Senior Members: Masters degree in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

- Assess design, analysis, and testing methodologies for aerospace thermostructural technologies - Provide technical guidance to management, customers, contractors, and government entities regarding test plans and criteria - Develop and evaluate design specifications and criteria for aerospace thermostructural technologies - Participate in the creation and execution of test programs for developing and qualifying aerospace technologies - Enhance the mission assurance process for evaluating structural integrity and durability - Maintain expertise in design, evaluation, and testing processes related to aerospace technologies - Collaborate with various teams to address interdisciplinary technical issues - Communicate technical recommendations clearly to management and customers through reports and briefings - Coordinate with external experts to address emerging risks
