Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of eight years relevant experience with a strong aptitude for designing network topology/architecture for terrestrial and satellite networks
- Profound understanding of network layers, protocols, and routing algorithms
- Background in network design, analysis, along with modeling & simulation experience
- Familiarity with virtualization and enterprise computing platforms
- Awareness of the latest trends and technologies in networking/computing
- Willingness to travel to assist clients at various locations
- Capability to obtain and maintain a US TS/SCI security clearance issued by the US government
Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate within multidisciplinary engineering teams for the creation and analysis of future network architectures and assist in defining requirements for mission success
- Oversee the advancement and application of sophisticated network protocols, routing, and Quality of Service (QoS) algorithms and architectures
- Execute various systems engineering tasks and projects, including architecture definition, development, analysis, modeling & simulation, and prototyping/validation
- Assess and innovate novel communication engineering technologies
- Simulate and analyze intricate network architectures and protocols
- Provide independent technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior staff members
- Coordinate projects and engage in technical discussions for DoD, intelligence community, and civil & commercial customers, collaborating closely with a diverse team that includes military personnel and government civilians
- Conduct specialized technical studies and internal research projects to pioneer the next generation of Space and Ground network concepts, architectures, and technologies
- Support the sustainability and development of core network simulation, emulation, and modeling capabilities
- Identify and cultivate new business prospects with existing and potential clients
