Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in space vehicle systems engineering
- Proficiency in the design and development of space vehicle systems
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with clients
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the capability to interact proficiently with personnel at all levels of the organization
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- Ability to obtain and uphold a security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship
- For Sr. Project Engineer: At least 12 years of relevant professional experience
- For Sr. Project Engineer: Significant programmatic impact in previous roles
- For Sr. Project Engineer: Experience in leading teams and coordinating cross-project efforts
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Missile Defense Agencys Space Capabilities office, particularly the DSS program
- Collaborate with government teams and personnel from other FFRDCs, UARCs, and SETAs to ensure mission success
- Assess and assist in the performance of contractors and subcontractors involved in space vehicle design and development
- Contribute to additional DSS space segment activities and other general DCS tasks as required
