Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited program in a relevant engineering or science discipline
- Over 8 years of relevant experience in space systems engineering
- Advanced knowledge and/or relevant experience in spacecraft subsystems, systems engineering topics, and spacecraft design
- Experience in leading and developing multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Proven ability to work independently and conduct long-term technical studies
- Demonstrated capability to function effectively in a dynamic environment and adapt under pressure
- Willingness to travel domestically on occasion
- Current or active TS/SSBI clearance
- More than 12 years of relevant experience in space systems engineering (for Senior Engineering Specialist)
- Exceptional knowledge and/or relevant experience in spacecraft subsystems, systems engineering topics, and spacecraft design (for Senior Engineering Specialist)
- Subject matter expertise in spacecraft-level systems engineering to support customer programs (for Senior Engineering Specialist)
- Proven ability to lead the development of systems engineering processes and initiate capabilities development activities (for Senior Engineering Specialist)
Responsibilities
- Providing engineering support for space vehicle systems focused on customer programs, especially for the intelligence community
- Leading and collaborating in studies involving multi-disciplinary teams to evaluate space system designs for thoroughness and accuracy
- Assessing the feasibility of space system designs during critical milestone reviews such as Preliminary Design Reviews and Critical Design Reviews
- Delivering products that require expert knowledge in space systems engineering
- Proactively engaging with government entities, program offices, contractors, and other members of Aerospaces engineering team
- Establishing and managing high-performing teams that include government and contract personnel as well as Aerospace engineers
- Mentoring junior department members to foster their professional growth
