Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant STEM disciplines.
- At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in modeling and simulation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
- Familiarity with contemporary software development, integration, and testing methodologies.
- Proven track record as a technical lead on significant software projects.
- Experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis within the space domain.
- Competency in utilizing software configuration management and collaboration tools (such as Bitbucket, Jira, GitHub, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability in mentoring and developing the skills of junior software developers.
- Strong communication abilities, particularly in technical writing and presentations, to collaborate effectively across various teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support corporate or customer initiatives.
- Capability to obtain and retain a security clearance issued by the U.S. government, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical guidance and innovation as well as lead project coordination within the sub-divisions modeling, simulation, and analysis capabilities.
- Collaborate with analysis leads to provide insights and advice to stakeholders and government clients about modeling and simulation processes.
- Act as the primary contact for numerous programs or initiatives related to substantial departmental technical projects.
- Mentor junior personnel across one or more focus areas within the department.
- Create and deliver timely and technically precise briefings and reports to convey software development progress and suggest design solutions to technical leadership, management, and clients.
- Oversee the development and upkeep of one or more company-specific M&S tools and their workflows.
- Interact with software users and clients to refine and understand capability requirements.
- Engage in software architecture design and assist in integrating new workflows to fulfill customer requirements.
