Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field, preferably in Computer Science or another relevant science/engineering discipline - At least 5 years of experience in IT operations or traditional systems management, with a focus on transitioning to cloud technologies and modern infrastructure practices - Established experience with commercial or on-premises cloud platforms, such as VMware vSphere, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform - Practical experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShift - Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning using code-based tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CDK - Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux fundamentals with practical system administration background - Solid understanding of networking principles related to computer systems - Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python or Bash - Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% - Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship. - For Engineering Specialist role, a minimum of 8 years of experience in architecting, developing, and maintaining complex, large-scale cloud systems is required.

Responsibilities

- Delivering cloud subject matter expertise to Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Civil Space customers - Providing technical leadership to develop solutions that enhance the performance, security, scalability, and reliability of cloud architectures, ensuring they align with customer needs - Creating proof-of-concept prototypes to help customers gain insight into the latest cloud technologies - Managing our on-premises datacenter for testing proof-of-concepts and evaluating solutions requested by customers - Offering guidance on reference cloud architectures and best practices for the space enterprise - Collaborating with a team of cloud experts to design, develop, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure - Conducting reviews of cloud architectures for customer mission systems - Formulating cloud migration strategies for customer mission systems - Performing cost estimations and optimizations for cloud implementations in customer mission systems - Enhancing departmental knowledge through work on projects, training assignments, and technical leadership.
